Description: Annual herb, grows up to 5-6 feet. Stem has minute, stiff hairs and has groves.Trifoliate leaf with foliaceous (leaf like) stipule, ringed round the stem. Appears as if the stem is split between two petiole. Hair on petiole. Terminal leaflet - ovate, two lateral leaflets asymmetric, with oblique base. Presence of stipels (secondary stipules) on rachis.Flowers are born in a long raceme with foliaceous bract.Flat pods, when mature look like a tail of a scorpion. Seed cases constricted forming distinct compartments.
